The Man Made fibres, commonly are 100% Polypropylene or Polyester.

What's the difference?

Wool is a natural fibre, it has the natural spring to jump back up, it is a sustainable product and more environmentally friendly, supports farming, heat insulation properties and feels nice underfoot. However, Wool can stains more then a Man Made, we are not saying you can't clean wool, as you can just not to the degree a Man Made can be cleaned, and the price of a wool carpet will work out more to the like for like quality in a Man Made Carpet.

A Man Made Carpet, clue in the name is a Man Made fibre from oil, the most commonly brought Man Made carpet is Polypropylene, it is bleach cleanable and affordably priced. The colours are often more vibrant but also showcase calmer colours, recently manufacturers have been making carpets from recycled materials, such as Avondale Plains & Heathers, and Enchantment . The down sides to a Man Made Carpet is that, it doesn't have the natural spring back Wool Carpets have, so flattening will occur more often and extra vacuuming will be needed, in the area of your home that has the highest foot traffic.
